Who are you guys?

Well, as you might have guessed, the name HaloDev is short for Halo Development. Before going any further I need to stress that it does not mean "Halo Developers" as we are in no way affiliated with Bungie/Microsoft or Gearbox and never have been; do not think we are them or that they are responsible for anything we do (don't go asking them for support on our projects, that would just annoy them).

Those who make up HaloDev are from all over the United States, with two members in the UK. We're not a business, organization, charity, or whatever else you can think of, unless you think we're a group of guys who love Halo as a game and as an engine, because then you would be right.

Our goal is simple, make cool useful stuff that everybody can use. We strive to take the complexities out of using tools and leave the complexities where they belong - 3DSMAX and good level design. We're not out to turn every newbie into a level design god, but if you can read a manual and already know how to make levels in general, then you will probably find our tools quite useful for content creation.

A few members have come and gone over time but Grenadiac, MonoxideC, and Nick have been around since the start of it all. Since that time, we have gained and still have with us the following additional members: JamesD, rec0, SwampFox, and ViperNeo. Seven of us, how ironic. There have been others who have played supporting roles and helped out with various tasks, most never even knowing what they were working on.

All seven of us have written a little blurb about ourselves and you can read each bio by clicking the names below or on the pane to your right. You will also find "Past Members" and "Various Contributors" pages that lists all those who have helped us and how they have done so.
